Carmel Holiday

Carmel Holliday was awarded a Bachelor of Science degree in general biology from Ball State University in 2014. Her coursework included both basic and advanced classes in the areas of environmental science, microbiology, chemistry as well as genetics.

Carmel has worked for HML since August 2013 when she was hired part-time in the microbiology department and was promoted to a full-time position after her graduation. Her experience includes testing both water and soil for a variety of microorganisms.

Her responsibilities include heterotrophic plate counts, total coliforms testing as well as Salmonella and helminth testing. She also currently tests for nitrate content and is fully trained in real time qPCR
